Long-standing members Joy and Tony Joseph will give a very entertaining and informative talk about the early lives of both WS Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan before they began their famous collaboration.

An animated concert production of Offenbach's famous operetta - the first performance by the group as it ventures outside the G&S canon.

The society returns with 2 more nights of its highly successful and entertaining Old Time Music Hall Nights with a festive twist.

Paul Dyson presents an enterntaining evening where members of the group perform songs, ensembles and choruses which ended up on the cutting room floor soon after the original productions of the operas.

Nicholas Burgess and other members of the society present a performance of the one act play that inspired Cox and Box Sullivan's first foray into the world of comic opera. In the second half June and Derek Dymond present selections from the G&S operas which they have performed over many years.

Perhaps the most famous and best-loved of the Gilbert and Sullivan operas, The Mikado still captivates and amuses audiences worldwide some 125 years after its original production at the Savoy Theatre, London. The hilarious tale of love, marriage, executions and heroics brings to life some of Gilbert and Sullivan's most popular characters from Ko-Ko the Lord High Executioner, Pooh-Bah and Nanki-Poo to the delightful Three Little Maids. Plans are well underway to ensure that this will be a really exciting production with the emphasis very much on colour and spectacle. Performances will be fully staged with orchestra.
