Ghost Stories in the West GHOSTS With such a long and bloody history, it’s hardly surprising that there should be so many reports of ghostly goings-on in the region. Bristol alone can boast dozens of phantoms and ghouls that have stalked its streets, and sitings of ghosts going back centuries have been recorded in the West’s biggest city, from the victims of some nasty executions to a German Luftwaffe pilot of World War Two.
